Specifying additional information about mass per unit of measure

If a BoM item has a Unit of measure that is not a mass unit or percentage, then information about the mass this represents can be specified in the Mass per UoM and Mass unit columns.

Ensure that this information is entered into the BoM wherever possible. If this information is not available, then the analysis may be unable to calculate a reported mass value for the item.

Note: The Mass unit must be consistent with the Unit of measure that has been specified. For example, if the quantity has been specified as an area, then the mass per unit of measure must be in units of mass per area.
  1. Double-click in the Mass unit column, and select a mass unit that is consistent with the Unit of measure specified.
For example, if the Unit of measure has been specified as 'Each', then the Mass per UoM must be one of: g/Part, kg/Part, mg/Part, oz/Part, or tonne/Part.
  2. Double-click in the Mass per UoM column, and enter a value for the mass per unit of measure, in the Mass unit you have specified.
