Integration with Ansys Workbench
Instances of Granta Selector can be opened as project components from Ansys Workbench, and selection results exported back into the project as Engineering Data.
Installing both Granta Selector and Ansys Workbench
If you install Granta Selector after Ansys Workbench, the Granta Selector add-in for Ansys Workbench will automatically be installed.
If you install Granta Selector before Ansys Workbench, you must either:
Using Granta Selector from within Ansys Workbench
Granta Selector appears under Component Systems in the Toolbox panel.
You are prompted to save any changes you have made to the selection project when closing Granta Selector. Note that these changes (and therefore selection stages and charts) are not saved as part of the Ansys Workbench project.
Exporting selection results
Data exported to Ansys Workbench from an instance of Granta Selector opened from Ansys Workbench appears in Granta Selector's Engineering Data in your Ansys Workbench project.
It is not possible to export from multiple datatables at once.
If you export data to Ansys Workbench multiple times using a single instance, only the final export will be saved to Engineering Data when you close Granta Selector. Closing Granta Selector, opening a second instance and exporting further records will append the extra data.
