Viewing a report

When viewing an assembly or product structure in MI Materials Gateway for Creo, NX, Teamcenter, or Windchill, you can analyze your Bill of Materials by viewing a report that can be printed or saved.

Note:
  • In Creo, analysis and reporting features are only available when you are viewing a hierarchical BoM - that is, when you have opened MI Materials Gateway from the main toolbar in Creo Parametric. See Creo Parametric.
  • In NX, analysis and reporting features are only available when you are working in BoM mode. See NX.
  • In Teamcenter and Windchill, you can also analyze the results of a 'Where Used' search.

To see a list of the reports available to you, click the left-hand end of the navigation bar and select Reports.

  • To see more information about a particular report, point to the Info icon at the right of the report name.
  • To see the available formats for a report, right-click it.

Comparison reports show changes between a baseline design and a new concept. To view a comparison report, you must previously have set a baseline using the dashboard. When you view the comparison report, it compares the current state of your BoM (the concept) to the baseline. For more details, see Setting a baseline for comparison.

To run a report:
  1. In the Reports list, find the report you want to view.
If the report is a comparison report, you cannot run it unless you have set a baseline.
  2. Right-click the report and select the format you want to view - for example, View PDF report or View HTML report.

The report opens using your default application for viewing files in that format. You can print or save it using the application commands.
