Viewing AC Simulation Results

To view AC simulation results in SIwave:

1. Click Results.
2. From the PSI area, select AC Currents > [Simulation Name].



Result options include:

• Plot Probe Voltages
• Plot Currents

Plotting Probe Voltages

From the AC Sweep Results menu:

1. Click Plot Probe Voltages.

The Voltage Probe Plot Generation window appears.

2. Select an appropriate options.
3. Click Create Plot.

Plotting Currents

From the AC Sweep Results menu:

1. Click Plot Currents.

The PSI AC Current Simulation Results window appears, and the Modeling workspace updates to display AC currents.



2. Use the Net List to select net visibility.
3. Use the layer check boxes to select layer visibility.
4. Use the Frequency list to select a frequency. The Modeling workspace updates to show that frequency's current information.
5. Select your appropriate Plot Scale and Plot Range options.
6. To view the currents as an animation:
   1. Use the drop-down menus to select a Start Frequency and Stop Frequency.
   2. Click the Play and Pause button to control the animation.
   3. Click Export to save the animation as either an *.avi or *.gif file.
7. If appropriate, you can Import Settings or Export Settings for net visibility, plot scaling and plot range. These settings are saved in XML format.

From the AC Sweep Results menu, you can also access additional menu options.
