Thermal Cosimulation with Icepak

You can perform a cosimulation between SIwave and Icepak (thermal analysis tool). The cosimulation is performed in conjunction with the DC IR simulation.

• Run the DC simulation within SIwave.
• Export the data to Ansys Icepak.
Note:

The Export Power Dissipation in Icepak format option must be selected.

• Run Icepak to analyze the PCB including the power dissipation data.
• The temperature map generated by Icepak imports automatically.
• The DC simulation automatically runs again to update the power analysis.
