Relocating Bondwires

SIwave allows you to change the destination layer of bondwires. You can either relocate selected bondwires or specify the length restrictions to select bondwires.

You may need to move bondwires to different layers to avoid collisions and the resultant electrical shorts. SIwave allows you to assign unique bondwire profiles only on a per-layer basis. When SIwave detects colliding bondwires during a validation check, you can delete the nets that are not critical for your project, or you can relocate them to another layer. To change a bondwire profile to prevent it from colliding with another on the same layer, move (relocate) the bondwire to a different layer and then change that layer’s bondwire profile.

To relocate specific bondwires:

  1. Select the bondwires in the Modeling workspace.
  2. Click Tools > Relocate Bondwires.
  3. The Relocate Bondwires window appears.

  4. Click the Relocate Selected Bondwires radio button.
  5. Select the Destination Layer.
  6. Click OK.

To relocate bondwires based on length:

  1. Click Tools > Relocate Bondwires.
  2. The Relocate Bondwires window appears.

  3. Click the Relocate Bondwires By Length radio button.
  4. Enter the minimum and maximum values for the Length Criteria. Any bondwires with a length between these values will be relocated.
  5. Select the Destination Layer.
  6. Click OK.
