Reading an External Input

This command copies the contents of a disk file into the top register. The register must be one that has been saved using the Write output command.

To read an external input into the register:

  1. Click Read.

The Open dialog box appears.

  1. Use the file browser to specify the register’s file name and directory path. A .reg extension is automatically assumed for register files, and click Open.

The contents of the file are copied to the top register in the stack.
