Eddy Current A-F Boundaries

The Eddy Current A-F field solver allows you to define the following types of boundaries:

Default Boundary Conditions (Natural and Neumann)

For natural boundaries, the fields behave as follows:

  • B: normal component is continuous across the boundary

  • J: tangent component is continuous

For Neumann boundaries, the fields behave as follows:

  • B: normal to the boundary

  • J: tangential on the boundary

 Object interfaces are initially set to natural boundaries; outer boundaries are initially set to Neumann boundaries.
Flux Tangential
  • B: tangential to the boundary and flux cannot cross it.
  • J: normal to the boundary. Problems with flux tangential at outer boundary.
