Creating 2D Reports From Named Expressions
You can create a 2D report from named expressions that evaluate as a single scalar value or that evaluate along polylines.
To create a report from a named expression evaluating as a single scalar value:
- Click Maxwell 2D or Maxwell 3D > Results > Create Report.
- In the Target Design drop-down menu, click the design containing the solution data you want to plot.
- Select Fields from the Report Type drop-down menu.
- In the Display Type drop-down menu, select the type of report you want to create.
- Click OK.
- In the Solution drop-down menu, click the solution containing the data you want to plot.
- Add one or more traces to include in the report.
- Click Done.
- Click Maxwell 3D, Maxwell 2D or RMxprt and select Results > Create Report.
- Select the geometry you want to plot from the Geometry drop-down menu.
- Add one or more traces to include in the report.
- Click Done.
The Create Report dialog box appears.
The Traces dialog box appears.
The report appears in the view window and is listed in the project tree. The default name based on the Report <type> you selected, (for example, Modal Solution Data Plot n or Far Fields Plot n). You can edit the plot names in the project tree and the plot header text in the report synchronizes. Once you have created a report, additional options become available on the Results submenu.
To create a report from a named expression evaluating along a polyline:
The Create Report dialog box appears.
The Traces dialog box appears.
The report appears in the view window and is listed in the Project Manager tree. The default name is based on the Report Category you selected, (for example, Force Plot n or Output Variables Plot n). You can edit the plot names in the project tree and the plot header text in the report synchronizes. Once you have created a report, additional options become available on the Results submenu.
