Mesh Region Intersections
When creating mesh regions in Icepak, you must determine which areas within the computational domain require unique mesh settings. When creating mesh regions, you are able to create them in relation to model geometry and other mesh regions in the following ways:
- Intersecting no objects
- Intersecting one or more objects
- Touching the outer region
- Touching one or more mesh regions
- Touching one or more instances of 3D geometry from the inside or outside
- Touching 2D objects
Mesh Region Intersection Limitations
The following are limitations for mesh region intersections:
- Two or more mesh regions can not intersect.
- A conducting plate with Shell conduction enabled can not intersect a mesh region boundary.
- Network faces can not intersect a mesh region boundary.
