Assigning SPICE/S-parameter Vendor Models in HFSS 3D Layout

To assign SPICE/S-parameter models to components in HFSS 3D Layout:

  1. From the Layout tab, click Workflow to open the SIwave Workflow Wizard.
  2. Click Assign S-Parameter Capacitor Models to open the SPICE/S-parameter Vendor Component Management window.

  3. Select a component on the list.
  4. If you have an SIwave Partname Mapping File (*.pmap), click Import Part Matching File to load those settings.
  5. Assign specific models to parts automatically by clicking Auto Match By Value or Auto Match By Name.
  6. To assign a model to a part manually, click Assign SPICE/S-param Model to open the Select SPICE/S-parameter Vendor Model window.

  7. Click the Filters or scroll through the list to select a model.
  8. Click OK to return to the SPICE/S-parameter Vendor Component Management window.

    9. The new model assignment displays in the table.

  9. If appropriate, you can clear a model assignment by selecting the part and clicking Clear Model Assignment.
  10. If chosen, click Export Part Matching File to export your settings as an SIwave Partname Mapping File (*.pmap).
  11. Click OK to save the settings and return to the SIwave Workflow Wizard.
