Create Mesh Plot
From the Project Manager window, expand the Project Tree > [Active Design Folder] > Field Overlays. Then select Plot Mesh to open the Create Mesh Plot window.
The window is used to specify choices for the mesh plot (e.g., plot name, related solution, which nets/layers to plot).
- Show nets selected for plot always keeps columns for nets that are selected on any layer visible — even if they are not normally shown because of the current net filter.
- Net filter involves enhanced wild card filtering and is used to select which nets are shown in the window. The two wild cards (i.e., characters) supported are * and vcfg. Refer to Regular Expressions for Nets in Running AnsTranslator from Electronics Desktop.
There is a shortcut menu in the window that gives options for selecting the nets for various layers. There is also a menu item for changing the column size so that net names are fully visible. After creating a mesh plot, a new Mesh item appears under the Project Tree.
The shortcut menu for the Mesh item is the parent to all the existing mesh plots.
- Delete – Deletes all the mesh plot items.
- Plot Mesh – Opens the Create Mesh Plot window.
- Modify Attributes – Open the Modify Attributes window.
- Update Plots – Refreshes the mesh if it is invalid.
The shortcut menu on a mesh plot Project Tree item:
- Plot Visibility – Turns on/off the mesh plot drawing in the layout.
- Plot Mesh – Opens the Create Mesh Plot window.
- Modify Attributes – Open the Modify Attributes window.
