Viewing Virtual Desktop Details

For virtual desktops in a project space, you can view additional details such as the hardware type, applications installed, connected users, and machine properties.

  1. Open the project space that contains the resource.

  2. In the list of resources, click the resource to expand it. A details pane is displayed:

The types of information available depend on the resource type. Possibilities include:

  • Status. Displays the user who was last connected to the resource.

  • Users. A list of users currently connected to the resource.

  • Applications. (virtual desktop) The applications installed on the resource. If you have admin rights, you can also add applications in this view.

  • Hardware. (virtual desktop) Information such as the virtual machine name, usage cost per hour, and number of CPU cores.

  • Node details. (HPC cluster) The number of nodes in the cluster.

  • Shutdown timers. Automatic shutdown timers that activate when certain conditions are met (for example, when no users are online, or CPU usage is low). For descriptions of timers, see Setting Shutdown Timers for a Virtual Desktop in the Administration Guide.

  • Settings. Technical information such as the creation date, creator, operating system, hostname, IP address, and virtual desktop class.

  • Storage. (file storage server) Displays the shared folders that have been created on a file storage server and enables you to create new folders. Shared folders are available to all resources created in the project space containing the file storage server. Shared folders in one project space can also be made accessible to other project spaces. See Enabling Access to a Shared Folder on a File Storage Server in the Administration Guide.
