Requirements for Integrating with Ansys Gateway powered by AWS
To enable your company to access Amazon Web Services (AWS) resources via Ansys Gateway powered by AWS, you must subscribe to Ansys Gateway powered by AWS in AWS Marketplace and complete a guided setup process. The setup is automatically launched on the screen when you subscribe to Ansys Gateway powered by AWS.
General Prerequisites for Setup
The person(s) performing the setup must have an AWS role with specific policies. Each step of the setup process has minimum AWS policy requirements. Ensure that you review Roles and Policies Required for IT Administrators when Setting Up Ansys Gateway powered by AWS.
The person(s) performing the setup must have an Ansys ID. For more information about Ansys ID see the Ansys Account Management guide or the Ansys Sign-In Help.
The setup process is configured for a single domain only (your primary company domain, such as company.com). The setup can be run for the same domain more than once as long as a different AWS account is used each time.
If your email/authentication/Active Directory domains are different from your primary company domain, please contact Ansys support. Upon request, Ansys can associate additional domains with a tenant (for example, company.in and company.co.uk), enabling users with a different domain in their Ansys ID email address to access the tenant when signing in to Ansys Gateway powered by AWS.
Setup Options
There are two options available for setting up Ansys Gateway powered by AWS: Express and Manual.
Ansys recommends Express setup as it requires minimal IT expertise and configuration. Manual setup is only needed if you want to integrate Active Directory with Ansys Gateway powered by AWS. See Express vs Manual Setup.
To prepare for connecting to Ansys Gateway powered by AWS, ensure that you meet the prerequisites for your desired setup method.
