Project Spaces

A project space contains a group of cloud-based resources that are available for simulation work. Resources can be virtual desktops or autoscaling clusters. A project space is often configured to support specific activities or workflows, or serve a specific group of users.

When Ansys Access on Microsoft Azure was set up, a default project space named Onboarding Validation Project Space was automatically created by the setup process. You can edit and use this project space if desired.

Tenant administrators can create any number of new project spaces and manage all existing project spaces. They determine what types of permissions each user has in each project space (for example, whether they can see the project space and connect to its resources). Users who are granted Admin permission in a project space have full administrative privileges in that project space, meaning that they can add or delete resources, edit user permissions, and manage other project space settings such as storage.

To enable simulation workflows in the cloud, you add resources to project spaces. Resource types include virtual desktops and autoscaling clusters.

Tenant administrators and users with Admin permission in a project space can add and manage resources in a project space.

The topics in this section describe how to create and manage project spaces in Ansys Access on Microsoft Azure.
