Licence Configuration (FlexLM)

The license configuration page allows the FlexLM license server to be configured.

To use an FlexLM Licence server the Licence System must be set to FlexLM.

Environment Variable

Motor-CAD locates the license server machine and port from an environment variable entry.

The environment variables are normally set at install time but can modified if required.

The environment variable name used for FlexLM licensing is: MOTORDES_LICENSE_FILE. With the

format for the value of the environment variable being PORT@SERVERNAME

If the environment variable is changed then Motor-CAD will need to be restarted for the changes to take effect.

An example of configuring FlexLM licences is shown below.

Select the licenses that you wish to use by selecting the checkboxes as shown below. Motor-CAD will then request the selected licenses from the license server.

Pressing the [Update] button will checkout the requested licences.

Licences that are checked out correctly will be highlighted in green. Any requested licenses that could not be checked out will be highlighted in red.

To finish then click on the Close button.
