Global Composites

Global Composites is a new data table in 2025 R2, providing commercially-available material property information for composite materials and their constituent parts, covering resins, fibres, lamina and laminates. The Global Composites data table replaces the Firehole Composites data table.

Over 500 materials, providing material property information for composite materials and their constituent parts, covering resins, fibres, lamina and laminates. It contains key property data from materials manufacturer datasheets providing information about the materials composition, mechanical properties, typical uses and processing information.

  • Material property data is provided for fibers, matrices, lamina and laminate to enable search and selection of the individual composite constituents or the laminate composite systems.
  • Data covers different test conditions, manufacturers and traceability to the original manufacturer datasheet is provided.
  • Records may include but are not limited to the following categories of information, depending on grade, data availability and material type:
    • Descriptive information (Composition, constituents, form etc.)
    • Directionality
    • Curing and Processing
    • Mechanical properties (elastic, tensile, compressive, flexural)
    • Impact properties
    • Shear and interlaminar properties
