Using the Bulk Edit Version Control tool

if required, you can use the Bulk Edit Version Control tool to change the version control state of a number of records at once.

This tool is available in Edit mode.

Note: Some operations may also affect parent or descendant records of those in the list. You should consider the implications of a version control operation before performing it.

  1. Click Reports on the toolbar and add the records you want to modify to the Record List.
  2. Click Bulk Edit: Version Control for the report type.
  3. On the Bulk Edit Version Control page, select an operation from the list: Release, Revert, Withdraw, or Reinstate.

  4. (Optional) Type some notes about the operation in the box provided. The notes will apply to all records being changed.
  5. Click Go.

The Summary page is displayed in the main area with information about the operation, showing how many records have been changed.

  • Click Remove these from your record list to remove these records from the Record List.
