Hotfix

  • A fix has been implemented to mitigate an issue triggered when a large number of requests to start and/or stop resources are made within the same time frame. In this scenario, the heavy load placed on the system could have set off a cascade of failures resulting in the platform becoming unstable and unresponsive. (1107715, 1112219)

  • The CentOS and Perforce initialization steps have been updated to address further deprecations of CentOS community repositories that could prevent the installation of Linux desktop environments. (1110425)

Note: The hotfix applies only to new virtual machines (VMs) that you create. VMs created before the hotfix deployment should be recreated if possible.

Alternatively, you can apply a patch to an existing VM by installing the Ansys Linux Patch: CentOS repositories update (revision 9) application on the VM.

If an older revision of this application was previously installed, you can install the newest revision on top of it.
