RemoveLayer (Layout Editor)

 

UI Access From the Layers window, right-click the target layer and select Remove.

 

General Mode

Removes the target layer or target stackup layer.

Parameters
Name Type Description

<LayerName>

String

Name of the target layer.
Return Value None.

 

Python Syntax RemoveLayer(<LayerName>)

IC Mode (IC Editor)

Removes all objects from the target layer or remove all objects and the target layer.

Parameters
Name Type Description
<Parameters> Array

Structured array containing these parameters in order:

  • <NAME:Contents>
  • <NAME>
  • <RemoveLayer>
<NAME:Contents> String Required first parameter which must have the specified value (i.e., "Contents").

<LayerName>

String

Name of the target layer.

<RemoveLayer>

 Boolean True removes the layer and all objects on the target layer.

False removes only all objects.
Return Value None.
