Heal (Layout Editor)

Heals imprecise geometry.

UI Access From the Layout ribbon, click Healing.
Parameters
Name Type Description
<HealArray> Array Structured array containing these parameters in order:
  • <NAME:category>
  • <Type>
  • <OptionalArgs>
  • <Tol>
<NAME:category> String Required first parameter which identifies the category of healing (i.e., "Snap", "Feature", or "Repair", such as <NAME:Snap>.
<Type> String Dependent on <NAME:category>. Identifies the type of healing, per category:
Snap — "Point", "Arc", or "Grid"
Feature — "Voids" or "FloatingBodies"
Repair — "Colinear" or "SelfIntersecting"
<OptionalArgs> String

Optional parameters (i.e., "Antipads", "ModifyArcs", and/or "InsertPointsInEdges". Multiple <OptionalArgs> can be entered, depending on <NAME:category> and <Type>.

<Antipads> Boolean

If <NAME:Feature> and <Type>="Voids", then this optional argument is available:

True — voids are converted to antipads
False — voids are not converted to antipads

<ModifyArcs> Boolean

If <NAME:Snap> and <Point>="Voids", then this optional argument is available:

0 — arcs do not snap to close primitive edges
1 — arcs snap to close primitive edges

<InsertPointsInEdges> Boolean

If <NAME:Snap> and <Point>="Voids", then this optional argument is available:

0 — new points will not appear when healed primitives snap together
1 — new points will appear at midpoints between existing edges and at the new edges created when healed primitives snap together

<Tol> Integer Primitives at or within this tolerance are healed.
Return Value None
