Maximum Far-Field Data
When HFSS calculates antenna parameters, the following maximum field data is calculated:
Total |
The maximum of the total rE-field. |
X |
The maximum rE-field in the x-direction. |
Y |
The maximum rE-field in the y-direction. |
Z |
The maximum rE-field in the z-direction. |
Phi |
If you specified Phi-Theta coordinate system in the Far Field Sphere, the maximum rE-field in the f-direction. |
Theta |
If specified Phi-Theta coordinate system in the Far Field Sphere, the maximum rE-field in the q-direction. |
| Azimuth | If you specified Azimuth over Elevation or Elevation over Azimuth in the Far Field Sphere, the maximum rE for Azimuth. |
| Elevation | If you specified Azimuth over Elevation or Elevation over Azimuth in the Far Field Sphere, the maximum rE for Elevation. |
LHCP |
The maximum left-hand circularly polarized component, which is equal to
RHCP |
The maximum right-hand circularly polarized component, which is equal to
Ludwig 3/X dominant |
The maximum of the dominant component, Vmain, for an x-polarized aperture using Ludwig's third definition of cross polarization. This is equal to |Eqcosf - Efsinf|. |
Ludwig 3/Y dominant |
The maximum of the dominant component, Vmain, for a y-polarized aperture using Ludwig's third definition of cross polarization. This is equal to |Eqsinf + Efcosf|. |
When calculating the maximum far field values, the distance r is factored out of the E-field. Therefore, the units for the maximum field data values are given in volts.
