You can import and update SysML design models from external modeling tools into Ansys medini analyze. This enables you to analyze third-party design models inside the medini analyze environment. After you have imported a model into medini analyze, you can make changes to it, but you cannot export safety data from medini analyze into a third-party tool. Instead, use the medini analyze function to import any changes made to the source model in the third-party tool.
Important: Only modeling concepts supported by medini analyze are imported. Other information in the source model may be ignored during import. For third-party UML tools, models are imported if they conform to the SysML subset. For more information, see Concepts Supported During Import.
The following modeling tools are supported:
Ansys System Architecture Modeler (SAM)
IBM Rational Rhapsody
Cameo (MagicDraw) from NoMagic
Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect
Ansys SCADE Architect
IP Design Models (for chip design) from IPD-XML
