Operational Situation parameters are predefined values for the fields in the hazard analysis, i.e. values in the drop-down lists of the corresponding column. These values are used in the columns of a hazard analysis as well as in an operational situation catalog that is used as basis for an analysis. The default templates comes with a basic set of example values for selected hazard parameters which can be adapted according to your needs.
To change the drop-down list values of the default columns of the hazard analsis, do the following:
Right click on the project in the Model Browser to bring up the context menu.
Select "Edit Operational Situations" to open the Operational Situation editor.
You can now freely add, modify, delete or sort the values for each operational situation parameter. For example, in Automotive these are the following:
Location
Road Condition
Environment
Item Usages
Traffic and People
Use the Arrow buttons on the right side of each table to set the order on how the values will appear in the hazard editor.
After saving your changes the modifications will be available in drop-down lists of the corresponding columns of the hazard editor, hazard situations catalogs, as well as for the generation of pre-initialized hazard tables.
