13.2. Opening a Project

After you have successfully connected to a server and signed in, you can open projects from the server into the medini analyze Model Browser. Here you can edit them as you would edit any other project in the client. Although the server can host different types of projects, only projects that can be edited in the desktop client are shown.

Server projects are organized into spaces.

  • Projects in your personal space belong to you.

  • Projects in an organizational space can be accessed by other users. Whether you can see, copy, or edit the project depends on the project type, the visibility set on the project, and your assigned role.

Note that a server project icon with a yellow lock overlay means that you have only read-only access to the project.

Note:  For more information about projects and their settings in the Portal server, in the Ansys MBSE Portal, click the Help link. Or, in the Ansys Help Portal, find the MBSE Portal User Guide.
