Safety Mechanism Deactivation

Version 19.2 introduced a new "Coverage Analysis" page in the FMEDA that lists the SMs applied within an analysis and provides some statistics. With 2019 R1, that page is enriched with facilities to quickly deactivate specific SMs or combinations of SMs in order to tailor the analysis to a application context. In addition, this facilities can be used to play through different scenarios and variants and calculate the DC metrics having mechanisms or combinations of mechanisms enabled or disabled. Once done, the change can be simply undone to reestablish the previous state.

Measure Importance

Besides the above improvement, the Coverage table now also shows the known importance values for all measures. That way, it is possible to quickly see which safety mechanisms are contributing the most to design so that it can be optimized or made more robust.

Goal List Editor

The DC worksheet column of a safety goal displays both the permanent and transient metric details now if transient failure metrics are enabled.

DC / FMEDA Reporting

The DC report has been extended to include all metrics that are available in the tool.

IPD-XML Import

The IPD-XML import now supports the official version 1.0 (Schema version 1.1). For example, the attribute "gateCount" can now be imported from IPD-XML.
