If a license cannot be obtained or is lost during operation (e.g. lost network connection), the tool behaves as follows:
License is not available at tool startup: If the tool is started without a proper license configuration or without a connection to the license server, the tool provides the license configuration dialog. This allows you to fix the problem. For more information, see License Configuration.
License is lost during tool operation: If a license is lost during the operation of the tool, e.g. caused by a network error, the tool detects it after a certain period of time ("heart-beat"). In that case, the tool functionality is restricted to the functionality which is still licensed. You can save project data before the tool switches into read-only mode.
If one of the above behaviors occurs, make sure the required licenses are available and are registered in the tool. For floating licenses, also make sure that the license server is connected.
Ansys medini analyze opens the license dialog at startup. You can also open it when the tool is running by navigating to > > .
