| Failure Model for Port Defintions | The new concepts of Port Definitions (effectively types for ports) is now supporting failure modes and failure rates. This allows you to consistently define failure rates and failure modes in an effective way and associate them to multiple port usages. Note that you have to enable the SysML v2 option to benefit from this feature.

| Failure Mode Inheritance | 2022 R2 comes with support for inheritance of failure modes via a definition hierarchy of blocks/part definitions and port definitions. For example, you can now use failure mode libraries (e.g. from our HW best practice template) and inherit into your own library or SysML models. Note that you have to enable the SysML v2 option to benefit from this feature.
