7.3. Requirement Adapter Improvements

Deletion Handling

The deletion of objects has been consolidated for all requirement adapters when pushing local deletions back. Since the deletion of objects in PTC Integrity, Polarion, Jama, Codebeamer, and DOORS NG behave slightely differently, check out the exact behavior in our user guide for your RMS.

Error Handling

The error handling has been improved for synchronization with requirements tools. Errors/warnings are now grouped into categories and some more logs are provided on the elements that have been changed.

Diff/Merge for imported Requirements

The consistent management of imported requirements has been improved. If you work with multiple users on a copy of the same project and if you synchronize requirements with third party tools, the diff/merge is now capable to detect and handle differences in those imported requirements consistently. For example, if one user is ahead with the requirement synchronization and diffing the project against the work of his/her colleagues, changes are now properly handled by using the external identifiers during diff/merge on medini side.

Polarion Heading Import

The Polarion requirements adapter is now able to map Heading objects to medini requirements. For example, you can map headings to requirements with Unspecified kind, since our tool does not have a dedicated heading object type.
