2.1. Prerequisites

To operate medini analyze in your environment you need:

  • Hardware: Minimum of 1 GB free space on HDD, 4 GB Memory. For very large projects 8 GB are recommended.

  • OS: MS Windows 10 and MS Windows 11

If the Ansys medini analyze is licensed via a network floating license, Ansys License Server needs to be installed. The server is available for a huge number of operating systems (Linux and Windows, 64 bits). Details can be found in a readme.txt in the medini analyze customer download location or in the documentation provided by Ansys.

For certain functions regarding tool integrations additional software might be required. This includes the following products:

  • Ansys SCADE Architect: Version 19.0 or later

  • Ansys RedHawk Seascape: Version 2018.03 or later

  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word): Versions 2010 or later

  • IBM Rational DOORS: Version 9 or later

  • IBM Rational DOORS Next Generation (NG): Version 6.0.5 or later

  • IBM Rational Rhapsody Version 7.6 or later (when running on Windows 7 64 bit)

  • Jama Software: Version 8.14.0 or later

  • Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect (EA): Version 7.5 or later

  • Cadence Incisive Functional Safety Simulator: Xcelium release 17.04.a001 or later

  • Synopsys IC Compiler (ICC): Version 2017.09-SP2-1 or later

  • PDF Reader (e.g. Adobe Acrobat Reader)

  • A supported external file-based configuration management system

  • Jira, Trac, Bugzilla, or another supported issue tracking system

The following versions of the third party tools and formats are tested to be compatible with Ansys medini analyze[2]

  • DOORS: 9.3.0.4

  • DOORS NG: 6.0.5

  • Jama: 8.14.0

  • EA: 7.5, 8.0

  • Rhapsody 7.6, 7.6.1, 8.0

  • RIF 1.2, ReqIF 1.0.1

  • FMEA MSR-XML: V2.1.2 or later

  • Reliability Workbench (FaultTree+) Import and Export: Version 13.0 and above

  • CAFTA (Phoenix Architect): Version 6.0a and above

  • Polarion: version 19.x or later (cloud or on-premise server)

  • Codebeamer: version 20.x or later (cloud or on-premise server)
