By default, when you deploy an evaluator, Ansys applications are automatically detected on the host machine, making them available for task execution. Detected applications appear in the properties of the evaluator in the Ansys HPC Manager. See Viewing and Editing Evaluator Properties in the Ansys HPC Platform Services User's Guide.

On a Linux machine, Ansys applications are only detected if installed under /ansys_inc or /user/ansys_inc folders or using the AWP_ROOTXXX environment variables. This limitation does not apply on Windows machines.

If applications are not automatically detected and displayed in an evaluator's properties, you can manually add applications to the evaluator's configuration.
