By default, when you deploy the Autoscaling Service, Ansys applications are automatically detected if installed in a standard location, making them available for task execution in a cluster workflow. Detected applications appear in the properties of a cluster resource in the Ansys HPC Manager. See Viewing or Editing Autoscaling Cluster Properties in the Ansys HPC Platform Services User's Guide.

On Linux, Ansys applications are automatically detected if installed under /ansys_inc or /user/ansys_inc folders or using the AWP_ROOTXXX environment variables.

If applications are not automatically detected, you can manually add applications to the autoscaling configuration.
