This option is implemented via the DigitPro (Digital Prototype) project within the ARENA2036 research campus. It guarantees a closed simulation process chain and enables the exchange of different data types (ASCII format) within a Hierarchical Data Format 5 (HDF5) data container. For more information, see the following publications: [8], [17], and [1].
The HDF5-Input option stores data that is generated during the design and analysis phase of a component. This shared binary data container can then be exchanged between project partners. Option HDF5 - Output enables you to retrieve the original files, giving you access to all of the information that was generated during the design process.
At the beginning of each HDF5 file, a Process - Status folder is generated that enables you to trace the steps that have been taken during the design of a part. The focus is on the design, manufacture, and structural analysis of fiber-reinforced composite parts. The main processes that can be considered along the process chain are preliminary design braiding, infiltration, openreed weaving, mapping, and structural analysis. Step-by-step documentation enables the project partners to evaluate the different features and comment on the program’s design.
Results of the data inside the container can be visualized using HDF-View software as described in [3].
The input can be defined as follows:
