This option enables transferring composite models created in the ACP application to the LS-DYNA application. Both shell and solid models are supported. Multiple LS-DYNA keywords and modeling approaches are available, including part-wise and element-wise methods. The transfer workflow requires ACP models to be stored in HDF5 files using the ACP Composite Definitions format. For a complete list of supported settings, see Input and Output Meshes.
Conversion of material properties to LS-DYNA keywords is possible to a limited extent. You can store the Ansys material database file (.xml or .engd) either directly in the ACP model or in another location on disk. In the latter case, the path to the material database file must be specified in the mapping.in file for the Envyo application. If material conversion is not requested or is not possible, the layup definition (for example, thicknesses and fiber directions) is still converted for use in the LS-DYNA application.
For warnings and additional details about the ACP-to-DYNA workflow execution, see the generated acp2dyna.log and ansmat2dyna.log files in the working directory.
