During processing, each individual fluid portion of fixed mass, referred to here as an SPH Element, is injected through a Volumetric Inlet, with the Mass option as an input, and/or a Fluid Inlet, which Mass Flow Rate or Velocity could be prescribed. Each SPH Element has its own coordinates, velocity, mass, and other properties. The motions of these elements are subject to the interaction forces with neighboring SPH elements, geometries, and gravitational forces. Similar to the Fluid Inlet, there is an Outlet option that could be applied to the SPH elements, which also has the option to enable a Prescribed Pressure to the outlet itself. When the SPH elements pass through the Outlet. Both Fluid Inlet and Outlet could be linked to a Motion Frame.
Note: In this manual, the term Elements refers to portions of fluid in an SPH simulation.
The SPH method allows for either CPU or GPU processing. However, computationally efficient GPU-based parallelism allows you to solve practical engineering problems more quickly.
