29.2.2. User Inputs for Stream Function

For 2D planar or axisymmetric flow problems, Ansys Polyflow Classic will automatically calculate a stream function based on the velocity field. To change the point where the stream function vanishes, follow the steps below:

  1. In the task menu, select Assign the stream function.

      Assign the stream function

  2. Specify the condition of the stream function.

      Condition on the stream function for field 1

    1. Click No when Ansys Polydata asks you if you want the stream function to vanish at the node closest to the coordinates (0, 0).

    2. Enter a New value of X and click OK.

    3. Enter a New value of Y and click OK.
