A number of items have been marked as Beta for this release. This means that the features have not yet been fully tested, documented, or have their intended functionality. However, they are features which you can expect in their fully-released form in upcoming versions of EnSight. These include:
Fluent-centric Variable Formations
Beginning with a new Laplacian interpolation from element center to node centric variables, and extending to adjustment of nodal values based on boundary condition specification. Goal is to improve consistency with taking "raw" values from Fluent .dat.h5 files and creating "user visible" values.
Fluent Material Texture Map implementation
An initial exposure of the Fluent material texture map information. This includes the ability to include bump map information and material alignment control.
Libuserd API for readers
Access to our Userd 1.0, 2.0, 3.0 readers is now available via pyEnSight. This allows you to utilize our readers outside of a standard EnSight session. This can be used to ease data transfer or surgical data extraction without the need for a full session of EnSight being launched.
Parallel Animation
Utilization of multiple sub-EnSight processes to process solution time or keyframe animations in parallel. With integration and startup of these processes through
ensight_launcher
.Ansys Mechanical Reader
New reader for Ansys Mechanical results based on new shared library developed in cooperation with the Ansys Mechanical group.
