The following sections describe the available end-user configuration functions for Shared Web Licensing.
Prior to accessing Shared Web Licensing, you must enable the corresponding option in the Ansys Licensing Settings utility. To do this:
Start the Ansys Licensing Settings utility.
Under Web Licensing, click Shared.
Note that you may be required to log in with your Ansys ID account at this time.
Click the Enable Shared Licensing option.
Available On Demand and Roaming products are displayed. You can Renew All licenses or Checkin all or individual licenses.
Click Save to retain your changes.
Users with multiple licensing models can prioritize them from the Ansys Licensing Settings utility. To set the priority order:
Start the Ansys Licensing Settings utility.
Under Preferences, click License service priority.
The license services are displayed in the order they are accessed.
Drag and drop the services to change their priorities.
Click Save to retain your changes.
Ansys applications will attempt to checkout licenses from the service as defined in the License service priority. If a higher priority service does not have a license, the application will attempt to checkout from the next service in the list.
