1.11. Create Joint Load Properties and Moment

Create a Joint Load Properties object for revolute joint motion at Sprocket 1:

  1. Select the Model element in the Project tree.

  2. From the Motion ribbon, select Joint and then Joint Load Properties.

  3. In the Details panel for the new Joint Load Properties object, under Scope, set the Joint to Revolute_Drive.

  4. Under Definition, set Rotational Motion to Motion Function.

  5. Under Definition, set Rotational Motion Type to Rotational Velocity.

  6. In Function Expression, select the Motion expression you defined above.

     

  7. Select the Model element in the Project tree.

  8. From the Motion ribbon, select Joint and then Joint Moment.

  9. In the Details panel for the new Joint Moment object, under Scope, click in the Joints field to open the Joints dialog.

  10. Add a new entry to the table, select the Revolute_Driven joint and click Apply.

     

  11. Under Definition, set Moment to Function Expression.

  12. In Function Expression, select the Torque expression you defined above.
