This section describes licensing schemes for fluids physics.

 

5.6.1. Floating Licensing for Fluids Physics

To perform a high fidelity fluids solve in Discovery:

  • You can use the LiveGX solver, which is the default and does not require an additional flagship license.

  • If you disable the LiveGX solver, a CFD Pro license (cfd_base + cfd_solve_level1) is required. Discovery checks out the license when the solve begins and releases it when the solve completes.
