Chapter 2: Introduction

Envyo® transfers simulation or experimental result data to meshes with different discretizations, element-types, and material models for subsequent analysis in the LS-DYNA® application. It considers different material models available within the LS-DYNA® application, manages their respective history variables, and performs required homogenizations when necessary. This includes the consideration of different element types and sizes. You can define and choose the proper homogenization strategies based on your particular problem.

Envyo® enables the creation of inputs for subsequent structural analyses with the LS-DYNA® application. It supports a wide range of simulation workflows:

  • Metal forming

  • Adhesive curing

  • Bake hardening

  • Short fiber reinforced plastics

  • Continuous fiber reinforced plastics

  • Image processing

  • Coupling to particle methods

  • Stochastic parameter initialization

  • Mapping to IGA

See the PDF version of the user's guide for an explanation of the wide range of possible applications, third party software tools, and result data which can be initialized for increased predictability on meshes.
