Parameterizing Measurements Through Pull

  1. On the Design tab, in the Edit group, click Pull.
  2. Select an object to pull.
  3. On the right side of the Pull tool HUD, select Add a geometric parameter .
    You are now in the Pull – Parameterization tool.
  4. Select a second object to measure, or multiple objects to measure between.
  5. On the right side of the Pull – Parameterization tool HUD, select the property to measure and parameterize. For example, some properties include Area, Length, Mass, Volume, but many more exist and depend on your geometry and selection.
    A measurement is displayed in the graphics window closest to the object you select.
  6. Click Complete to add the measurement to the defined variations table for parameterization.
    This exits the Pull – Parameterization tool and returns you to the Pull tool.
  7. In the SID, click the Defined parameters hex to view the parameter in the defined variations table.
