The geometry is generated in SpaceClaim. It includes a solid geometry which represents the bird (A in the figure below) and the surface geometry of the composite wing structure (B). The distance (C) between the bird and the wing is set to minimize the time between the beginning of the simulation and the impact event.
Note: SpaceClaim is no longer included in the unified installer. Ansys recommends using Discovery Modeling to create geometries, or its alternative DesignModeler.
