C-IASI Analysis and Rating

This page explains how the C-IASI rating is calculated and the breakdown of the generated report.

Analysis

During the C-IASI test simulation, the Simulink plug-in is connected to Ansys AVxcelerate Lighting and Sensors to exchange variables. The Simulink plug-in allows you to evaluate all the sensors from the C-IASI Track.

In each trajectory:

  • The illuminance sensors located on the C-IASI track measure illuminance values.

  • Illuminance values measured by the sensors and the distance between the car and the sensors are computed and stored in the Simulink plugin.

  • The C-IASI test simulation includes two laps, one for low beam and one for high beam. At the end of the high beam lap, the Simulink model post processes the measured values to calculate demerit values for distance at 5 lux for illuminance and glare.

  • The overall C-IASI rating is calculated from the demerit values and the detailed results of the C-IASI test are exported to a PDF file at the end of the simulation.

Rating and Report

At the end of the C-IASI simulation, a PDF report is generated.

The PDF presents:

  • the overall rating: , , , ,

  • the distance at 5 lux in meters,

  • the demerit values,

  • the glare demerit,

  • the visibility illuminance measurement graphs,

  • the visibility glare measurement graphs.

Note: If the C-IASI PDF report is not displayed after the simulation, you can open it from the folder CIASI\CIASI_auto-driving\Simulink\Reports.
