Light Path Finder Results Limitations
The following page presents you the possible limitations that you can face when analyzing Light Path Finder results.
During a LP3 Analysis
Limitation 1
When activating the Light Expert in a simulation that generates a *.lp3 file, the *.lp3 file integrates all rays that hit at least the 3D sensor once. During a XM3 analysis, leveraging the *.lp3 file, you can display the rays of a specific measure area in the 3D view. However, if the measure area or part of the measure area is projected on a geometry that does not belong to the 3D sensor, the rays passing through this geometry are also displayed in the 3D view.
Limitation 2
Let's take the measure area projected on a face 1, and a face 2 is perpendicular to face 1. If the measure area intersects the face 2, then the measure area is also projected on face 2, and rays that pass through face 2 are displayed, as illustrated in the image below.
