Running a Simulation Using a Local Update

The following procedure helps you run a simulation in Speos Core out of Speos on your workstation while keeping Speos available.

To run a simulation using a local update:

Prerequisites: You must have exported or linked exported a simulation.
  1. In Speos, click to open Speos Core.
  2. Click File > Open and select the *.speos file.
  3. From the Speos Core tree, select the simulation to update.
  4. Click Local update or GPU local update .
    Note: The GPU local update considers the cores of the GPU you set in the Speos Options to run the simulation. For more information, refer to the GPU Compute section of the Computing Simulations page.
    Note: Error XX% corresponds to the evolution of the total error number during the simulation.
  5. In case you want to interrupt the simulation, double-click the running simulation.
    • In Direct simulation, click Yes to stop the processing.

    • In Invese simulation, you are requested to select an option according to your needs:

If you have not immediately stopped the simulation, the simulation results are available in the folder for both Export and Linked Export Simulations and from the Speos Simulation tree for Linked Export Simulations.
