It is usually unnecessary to manually run the password caching application; however, you may find it useful in certain circumstances. For example, it may be necessary to manually run the password application on a Linux machine if the terminal used to start the RSM user interface is not available. Or, you may want to cache credentials for a job account to be used for running jobs in batch mode, without having to launch RSM.
You can use the RSM Utilities application to run the password application. For more information see Managing Credentials for RSM Queues (rsm.exe creds).
