11.1. Starting BladeBuilder for the First Time

To make BladeBuilder available in a new installation Discovery, enable the BladeBuilder "Add-ins" preference as follows:

  1. Start Ansys Discovery from the Windows Start menu or from Ansys Workbench > Project Schematic > Discovery system > Geometry cell.

  2. Select File Menu > Settings to open the Settings dialog box.

  3. Select Add-Ins.

  4. Enable BladeBuilder.

  5. Close the Settings dialog box.

  6. Restart Ansys Discovery.

    BladeBuilder is now available in Discovery.

Now that BladeBuilder is available:

  • You can review and optionally change the BladeBuilder settings, which are listed in the Settings dialog box, under Add-Ins.

    The BladeBuilder settings control default behaviors of BladeBuilder. For details, see BladeBuilder Settings.

  • You can click the BladeBuilder tab of Ansys Discovery to access the user interface for BladeBuilder.
