This template creates one Static Structural analysis system appropriate for use when performing a Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF) additive manufacturing simulation assuming inherent strain. Engineering Data is pre-populated with Ansys sample materials for additive manufacturing. Upon opening the Mechanical application, the project tree is pre-populated with the AM Process and Build Settings objects that are required for additive simulations, and the Inherent Strain option (under AM Process, Build Settings) is set to Yes.
