When the Update Option is set to HPC Platform Services and you update the project, the Workbench project definition and project updates are sent to Ansys HPC Platform Services for evaluation. The Workbench project definition includes the workflow definition and project files.
To submit project updates:
To save the project, from the menu bar, select > .
Update the project:
From the menu bar select > .
On the Project tab toolbar click .
Right-click the white space on the Project Schematic and select from the context menu.
The project update starts. Throughout this process, Workbench displays processing
information in the status bar and the Progress view. In the status
bar, you can click the button for opening the Ansys HPC Job Manager web app
(
). Or, from the
Jobs menu, you can select .
In the Ansys HPC Job Manager web app, you can view project information and configure the project. For more information, see Ansys HPC Job Manager Web App in the Ansys HPC Platform Services Guide.
Note: If you exit Workbench before the update finishes, evaluators continue the process in the Ansys HPC Platform Services project. When you next open the Workbench project, it automatically syncs the changes in the Workbench and Ansys HPC Platform Services project. If you later make parameter or project changes in the Workbench project, selecting > pushes these changes to the HPC Platform Services project.
